Woodworking 4.0: How to Assess Your Company's Readiness for Change and Implement a Transformation Model
Today, woodworking and furniture companies face high demands for production efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness in both domestic and international markets. Implementing Lean, Green, and Digital approaches has become critically important for optimizing processes, reducing losses, and increasing productivity. Webinar participants will receive practical methodologies to assess the current state of their enterprises and determine priorities for transformation.
We invite Ukrainian woodworking and furniture companies to the final webinar of the international DRWO4.0 project. This event is the culmination of extensive work by experts from 11 European countries and is dedicated to a practical Transformation Model, which helps companies advance to Industry 4.0 by adopting modern approaches to production optimization, digitalization, and sustainable development.
One of the key topics will be Value Chain Analysis, which allows participants to examine the product journey from raw materials to the end customer and identify stages where the most significant losses or delays occur.
Another important tool is production self-assessment using the CULIS methodology, which enables companies to evaluate themselves across three areas: Lean (efficient production), Digital (digitalization), and Green (environmental sustainability). This evaluation helps determine a company’s readiness for implementing changes and developing a transformation strategy.
A central part of the webinar will be the presentation of the DRWO4.0 Transformation Model, which provides step-by-step recommendations for implementing changes, adapted to the specifics of the woodworking sector in Central and Eastern Europe. Participants will also learn from the experience of 11 countries in the Danube region and explore how these methodologies can be effectively applied in Ukrainian enterprises.
The final webinar will take place online on March 23, 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 Kyiv time. The speakers will include representatives from CULMENA (Croatia) and CICC (Hungary).
The Lviv Furniture Cluster supports initiatives that contribute to the development of Ukrainian furniture and woodworking manufacturers. Such events give companies the opportunity to assess their readiness for change, implement modern Lean, Green, and Digital technologies, improve production efficiency, and strengthen their competitive position. Participation in the webinar provides not only theoretical knowledge but also practical tools and international experience that can be applied directly in production.
The organizer, NGO “FORZA”, serves as the national coordinator of the DRWO4.0 project in Ukraine and is an active partner of the Lviv Furniture Cluster in implementing the Danube Region Wood Industry Transformation Model towards Industry 4.0. The project aims to accelerate digital and sustainable transformation in the woodworking and furniture sectors across the Danube region.
FORZA participates in research assessing the readiness of enterprises for change, organizes study visits, seminars, and conferences, and disseminates practical tools for integrating Lean, digital, and ecological solutions into production processes. They also facilitate the exchange of experience between Ukrainian and European companies.
Do not miss the opportunity to assess your company’s readiness for transformation, gain practical methodologies and international experience, and make your business more efficient and competitive.
