Lviv Furniture Cluster and the National Forestry University of Ukraine Launch a Practical Training Program for Furniture Industry Specialists
The furniture industry today requires not only new ideas, but also people who are able to turn them into high-quality products. That is why the Lviv Furniture Cluster, together with the National Forestry University of Ukraine, is launching an updated educational program, “Furniture Maker School 2.0: Design and Modern Technologies of Cabinet Furniture Production.”
This is an intensive two-week course designed for those who want to gain real practical skills in the furniture industry, understand production processes from the inside, and go all the way from idea to finished product under the guidance of educators and industry practitioners.
The program is structured so that participants can consistently master all key stages of cabinet furniture production. Training combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice and exposure to real manufacturing processes.
Participants will learn how to properly select materials and fittings, study the properties of modern panel materials, wood, coatings, and components. A separate module is dedicated to furniture construction, drawing development, and technical documentation.
They will also become familiar with furniture production technologies, principles of production organization, and modern approaches to cabinet furniture design. Significant attention is given to specialized software and digital tools that are widely used in furniture manufacturing companies today.
A key feature of the program is its strong practical focus. During the course, participants will not only study technologies but also apply their knowledge in practice.
They will have the opportunity to independently design, manufacture, and assemble their own piece of cabinet furniture. This format allows participants to experience the entire production cycle — from the first drawing to the finished product.
In addition to classroom and laboratory sessions, the program includes visits to companies within the Lviv Furniture Cluster. Participants will be able to explore modern production facilities, observe technological processes in real conditions, and communicate with industry representatives.
“Furniture Maker School 2.0” is designed for those who want to start a professional path in furniture manufacturing, change their career direction, or systematize and deepen their existing knowledge.
After completing the course, participants will receive certificates and will also have the opportunity to undertake internships at companies within the Lviv Furniture Cluster. This will allow them to continue learning directly at production sites and take their first step toward employment in the industry.
For the furniture industry, training qualified professionals remains one of the key challenges. That is why the Lviv Furniture Cluster consistently develops educational initiatives that help bridge the gap between academic education and industry needs.

The training lasts two weeks and runs daily from 10:00 to 16:00.
