The Lviv Furniture Cluster will take part in Industry Forum Lviv — a specialized B2B platform for manufacturing businesses that will bring together representatives of the metalworking, woodworking, energy, and packaging industries in Lviv on June 10–12, 2026. The forum will serve as a meeting point for manufacturers, equipment suppliers, technology companies, and industry leaders working on the modernization of Ukrainian industry and the development of international cooperation.
As part of the woodworking exhibition and Industry Forum Lviv, the Cluster’s partners — Atilog, with whom the Lviv Furniture Cluster recently signed a memorandum of cooperation, will hold a specialized training session titled “WoodTech IP: How to Protect Design, Technologies, and Brand.”
Today, the furniture and woodworking industries increasingly operate not only with physical products, but also with intellectual assets: furniture design, CAD models, technical drawings, brands, technological solutions, and digital developments. These assets are becoming a major competitive advantage for companies, while at the same time creating new risks related to copying, data leakage, and legal protection — especially when entering international markets. The Lviv Furniture Cluster invites its members and industry representatives to join the seminar and explore practical approaches to intellectual property protection in the WoodTech sector.
During the training, participants will examine practical aspects of intellectual property protection in the woodworking and furniture industries. The program will focus on protecting furniture design, copyright for digital models and drawings, trademarks, production trade secrets, IP risks related to exporting products, and cybersecurity within digital manufacturing environments.
A separate session will be dedicated to the impact of AI and Industry 4.0 on the woodworking sector. As manufacturing becomes increasingly digitalized, companies gain new opportunities for growth and automation, but also face new challenges in protecting intellectual property. Participants will discuss why CAD files have become valuable business assets, how to minimize the risks of product copying, and why a strong IP strategy is essential for entering the EU market.
The speaker of the training will be Vladyslav Khvostenko — an expert in intellectual property, technological innovation, and Industry 4.0, representing Atilog.
