On September 26–27, Lviv Design Day 2026 will take place at LEM Station in Lviv. The annual event brings together designers, architects, manufacturers, brands, developers and representatives of the creative industries. The Lviv Furniture Cluster is a co-organizer of the event.
This year’s Lviv Design Day is held under the theme Rethinking Tomorrow, focusing on rethinking the future of Ukrainian design, its transformation, emerging challenges, and how the Ukrainian design industry can develop and present itself internationally.
Lviv Design Day provides a platform for professional dialogue and direct interaction between those who create design and those who commission, manufacture and implement it.
The programme will include lectures by Ukrainian and international experts, professional discussions, workshops, presentations, networking opportunities, and an introduction to current products and solutions from Ukrainian brands.
Particular attention will be given to the connection between design and business. The event creates an environment where new ideas can develop into professional connections, partnerships and real projects.
One of the central elements of Lviv Design Day will be DESIGN EXPO — an exhibition featuring Ukrainian brands of furniture, lighting, décor, materials, textiles, finishing products and interior objects.
For manufacturers and brands, it is an opportunity to present their products directly to a professional audience of architects, interior and product designers, developers and potential partners.
The exhibition is designed not simply as a product showcase, but as an opportunity for direct interaction with products. Visitors will be able to explore materials, assess their textures and quality, and understand how they can be applied in real projects.
For Ukrainian manufacturers, DESIGN EXPO is also an opportunity to strengthen brand visibility, present their solutions and establish new business connections.
An important part of Lviv Design Days will be the New Design Voices competition, created for students, young designers and design studios.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their projects to the professional community, receive expert feedback and connect with designers, architects, manufacturers and potential partners.
The winners will receive UAH 25,000 in each of three main categories:
The competition will also feature a special category, “If Lviv Were an Interior, What Would It Look Like?”, as well as internship opportunities with partner companies.
Projects can be submitted to the competition until September 15.
Over the years, Lviv Design Day has gradually developed into a platform for Ukraine’s professional design community.
In 2021, the event became a platform for open dialogue between architects, designers, brands and developers, helping to draw greater attention to Ukrainian aesthetics and design.
In 2023, during the full-scale war, Lviv Design Day demonstrated the resilience of the Ukrainian design community and its determination to continue professional development despite challenging circumstances.
In 2024–2025, the event placed significant emphasis on design education, its current state and future development.
In 2026, the focus moves to the next stage — Rethinking Tomorrow. The discussion will explore how Ukrainian design is changing, what influences its development, and how Ukraine can present its design industry internationally.
