"Earth tones help create a harmonious atmosphere and work well in both modern and classic interiors," notes Tricia Zach, Global President of NKBA. Meanwhile, neutral colors like white and gray, which have dominated for decades, are giving way to richer and warmer hues.
Metal accents, such as gold, copper, bronze, or brass, are also becoming essential elements of kitchen design. Used in faucets, hardware, lighting frames, and decorative furniture details, these metallic finishes add a luxurious touch, creating a deep and dramatic aesthetic.

"Homeowners are looking for solutions that simplify and improve their lives," Tricia Zach explains. "However, technology should be harmoniously integrated into the space, not overpower the design."
Contactless smart faucets and app-controlled lighting are becoming increasingly popular, particularly in premium kitchen segments.

The 2025 kitchen is a space that reflects the owner’s individuality. Large kitchen islands with dual functionality, butler pantries, and unique textures and materials contribute to creating truly bespoke spaces.
"People want every detail of their kitchen to feel like it was made just for them," notes Nar Bustamante.
Contrast is a defining feature of modern kitchen design, including different colors for main cabinets and islands and mixing textures like wood, metal, and glass.

"Lighting is like jewelry for the room, completing its look and setting the mood," says Tricia Zach.
